Stress is proven to be detrimental for our physical and mental health. One of the best ways to combat stress, is to make art! Studies after studies has shown that drawing, exeries, martial arts and now even drumming for 20 plus minutes reduces cortisol. 

 

Painting does not only reduce the symptoms of stress but also helps with depression. Many people suffering from it have reported that painting gives them newfound energy and invokes feelings of pride and accomplishment in them. Feelings which some of these people have not felt in years or never at all.

 

Tai Chi is a gentle Chinese martial art of slow meditative physical exercise designed for relaxation, balance and also  promotes spiritual contemplation. It is defined as the grand ultimate, helps to relax the body, improve your mental focus and concentration.  Tai Chi helps reduce stress and anxiety and helps increase flexibility and balance. 

 

Drumming presents an educational and therapeutic methodology that promotes expression and healing by listening to the sounds and rhythms of drumming.  This process is developed to encourage students to release inner trauma through physical movement and meditative rhythms and breathing techniques.  This also enhances cardiovascular exercises for health.
